Gap Personnel who are operating as an employment business are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Production Operatives for a printing company based in Runcorn area.
The position is on temp to perm for suitable candidates.
Finishing Shift Operator – Weekday Shifts
Pay rate:
·£13.91 per hour during training
·£14.19 per hour after training
Working hours:
·Rotating shifts
·6am – 2pm on the morning shift
·2pm – 10pm on the afternoon shift
·Training will be done on the morning shift

Following training, you will be required to operate various production finishing machinery and completion of non-machinery tasks which include packing and labelling of goods ready for despatch. You will work within a quality focused, high volume and demanding continuous production environment. You will commence operating various print finishing lines including specialist Hunkeler book making machinery, sheeting machinery, guillotine and other paper finishing lines and pallet moving equipment.
You will be required after training\\instruction to perform other operating duties within the despatch and enclosing department, supporting the recycling area and the unloading and loading of collections and deliveries as required.
Additionally, you will support the Insertion area with tasks including pallet wrapping and stock movement when requested. The hours of work will be a rotating 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm shift, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid break during each shift.
Employee\’s will be exposed to 5S and Lean Principles and will be expected to comply and exhibit behaviours consistent with 5S and Lean. The individual must be a self-starter, able to be cross trained on multiple pieces of equipment (high speed and low speed), a team player, organized, and results oriented with exceptional work habits. Physical stamina, flexibility in work schedule, and decision-making ability are also required. Position requires compliance with all Department policies and safety regulations. This position will work under the direct supervision of a senior team member.
