gap personnel are recruiting a Security Operations Centre Operative for a fast-growing UK retailer based in Plymouth. This is a key role within the Head Office Security team, monitoring systems and responding to incidents across the business.
Role Overview
As a SOC Operative, you will monitor security systems, CCTV, and alarms, respond to incidents, provide first-line technical support, and ensure continuity of operations. You will uphold high standards of confidentiality and compliance, supporting both proactive and reactive security measures.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV, alarms, and security systems, responding to incidents promptly
- Escalate issues according to protocols and liaise with internal teams and emergency services
- Conduct system checks and report faults
- Support shift handovers and maintain operational continuity
- Maintain accurate records and GDPR compliance
- Provide first-line technical support for security technology
