gap personnel are recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing and highly successful UK retail business for a Seller Account Executive to join their expanding Marketplace team based at their Head Office in Plymouth. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast‑paced e‑commerce environment where you will play a key role in supporting marketplace sellers, driving account performance, and delivering an excellent seller experience.
The Role
Reporting to the Seller Account Management Lead, you will manage a portfolio of marketplace sellers, supporting their growth, performance, and long‑term success. Acting as the first point of contact, you will provide day‑to‑day operational support, resolve issues, and work collaboratively with internal teams to optimise seller performance and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with marketplace sellers, focusing on sales growth, performance optimisation, and retention
- Support sellers in implementing marketplace product strategies aligned with wider business objectives
- Identify opportunities to improve product visibility, assortment, pricing, and sales performance
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable insights using data analysis
- Provide tailored support and proactive guidance to key seller accounts
- Ensure seller compliance with legal, regulatory, and platform policies
- Coordinate promotional pricing updates and campaign activity
- Collaborate with Marketing and Social teams on seasonal campaigns and initiatives
- Optimise seller product listings, including content, pricing, and stock availability
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Marketing, Operations, and New Business teams
- Resolve customer care and seller accounting queries efficiently
- Support product onboarding processes and ensure accurate product listings
- Monitor seller performance, feedback, and recurring issues to drive continuous improvement
- Manage support tickets through Zendesk and ensure timely communication and resolution
- Monitor order flow, stock levels, and service metrics, escalating issues where necessary
- Support the handling of erroneous returns in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Candidate Requirements
- 0–2 years’ experience or a strong interest in e‑commerce marketplaces through education, internships, or related experience
- Confident using Microsoft Excel, including formulas, graphs, and reporting
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Customer‑focused with the ability to build positive working relationships
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
- Experience working cross‑functionally with operational and technical teams would be advantageous
