Our client based in the Wrexham area is currently recruiting a Payroll Officer on a full time, permanent basis. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer to take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of payroll across the organisation. This role is critical in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across both monthly and fortnightly pay cycles. The postholder will manage payroll processing, statutory submissions, pensions administration, reconciliations, and payroll reporting. While time and attendance data is normally provided by the HR team, the Payroll Officer will have sufficient understanding of the process to provide cover when required. Having experience of working in a manufacturing or operational environment would be highly advantageous.
Performance Objectives
- Deliver accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing for both monthly and fortnightly payrolls using Sage Payroll.
- Administer all statutory payroll requirements, including:
- FPS and EPS submissions
- Statutory payments and deductions
- Voluntary deductions e.g., Sports and Social Club, Union Membership, WHA
- Year-end payroll processes, including P60s, P45s, and P11Ds
- Employment allowances
