We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our client’s team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident managing payroll processes independently and is looking for a flexible role based in Norwich, with convenient access to the city centre and free on-site parking.

Location: Norwich (close to city centre)
Hours: 25–30 hours per week
Salary: £13.84 – £16.41 per hour (dependent on experience)
Type: Ongoing temporary - opportunity for Temp to perm
Duties:
- Take full responsibility for running payroll from start to finish each pay cycle
- Keep employee payroll records up to date, including starters, leavers, and any changes
- Process all aspects of pay, including salaries, overtime, bonuses, sick pay, holiday pay, and statutory payments
- Ensure payroll is accurate, on time, and in line with company policies
- Stay compliant with UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
- Manage year-end payroll tasks, including preparing and submitting P60s, P11Ds and P11D(b)
- Handle pension administration, including auto-enrolment, contributions, and liaising with providers
- Produce payroll reports and reconciliations for HR, Finance, and management
- Support month-end activities such as payroll journals and headcount reporting
Requirements:
- Proven, up-to-date experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements
- Experience preparing and submitting P60s and P11Ds
- Familiarity with Sage 50 Payroll is highly desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
- Ability to work independently and take full ownership of payroll processes
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
