About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Fields Person to join our team and support pig production across our growing and finishing units. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with the Production Manager and farm teams to maintain high standards of animal welfare, biosecurity, and overall unit performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to manage pig flow and site operations across our farms.
- Safely and efficiently load and unload pigs, ensuring their well-being.
- Monitor and maintain animal health and welfare in accordance with Red Tractor and company standards.
- Keep accurate records of stock, treatments, and animal movements.
- Operate farm equipment and maintain high standards of site hygiene.
- Regularly inspect equipment on-site and highlight any issues or potential replacements.
- Assist with audits and ensure strict adherence to biosecurity protocols.
- Maintain clear communication with managers, vets, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure proper use of consumables (feed, medicines, etc.) according to their intended purpose.
About You
- Previous experience working with pigs or in livestock farming is preferred (training will be provided).
- A strong team player with a positive work ethic and keen attention to detail.
- A solid understanding of animal welfare practices and farm biosecurity standards.
- A full UK Driving Licence is essential.
