The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for Bakery Operatives to join a busy and fast-paced production environment within the Morning Goods and Slicing departments at the Northwich site. Previous bakery production experience is desirable; however, candidates with experience within FMCG or fast-moving manufacturing environments will also be considered. Full training will be provided.
This role involves manual handling, operating within a production environment, and working as part of a team to meet production and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow daily production plans and work instructions
- Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure production deadlines and targets are achieved
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping (“clean as you go”)
- Complete production paperwork accurately and report any issues or non-conformances
- Maintain food safety, quality, and legal compliance standards
- Adhere to all SOPs, procedures, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
- Work safely and responsibly at all times
- Maintain awareness of staff and machinery within the working area
- Follow manual handling procedures correctly
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Previous experience within an FMCG or production/manufacturing environment
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible and reliable approach to work
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new processes
- Comfortable working within a physically demanding role
Desirable:
- Previous bakery or food production experience
- Experience working within high-volume manufacturing environments
