Working Hours:

  • Week 1: 08:00 – 16:30
  • Week 2: 11:30 – 20:00
  • 4 days on 2 off - (will include working weekends)

About the Role

Gap Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a well-established waste management and recycling operation for Recycling Centre Operatives to join their team in Warsop. This is a hands-on role working at a busy Household Waste Recycling Centre, helping members of the public dispose of waste correctly while ensuring the site remains safe, clean, and well-organised.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting members of the public with the disposal of household waste and recyclable materials.
  • Directing customers to the correct recycling and waste disposal areas.
  • Providing excellent customer service and answering basic site-related queries.
  • Ensuring waste is segregated correctly to maximise recycling rates.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy working environment.
  • Sweeping, litter picking, and carrying out general housekeeping duties across the site.
  • Monitoring site activities and reporting any health and safety concerns.
  • Supporting the site team with day-to-day operational tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • A proactive and reliable approach to work.
  • Awareness of health and safety practices.
  • Previous experience in waste management, recycling, labouring, or customer-facing roles is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided.
