Production Operative / Sewing Machinist
Location: Manchester (M16)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (37.5 hours per week)
Breaks: 30-minute unpaid break
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
We are currently looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operative / Sewing Machinist for our Client based in Manchester, M16.
If you enjoy hands‑on work and take pride in creating high-quality items, this role is a fantastic opportunity for you.
You will be involved in the full end-to-end production process, ensuring our products meet the high standards our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating pre-programmed Brother sewing machines to assist in sock manufacturing.
- Finishing production pieces with accuracy and a keen eye for detail.
- Quality checking finished items to ensure they meet specification standards.
- Neatly packing completed orders into boxes, ready for dispatch.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous sewing experience is essential (experience with industrial or pre-programmed machines like Brother is a major advantage).
- Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a small team.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with routine production tasks.
