Site Location: Newton Abbot

Contract: Temporary ongoing

Shift Pattern: Shifts booked on a weekly basis or a flexible schedule can be arranged, up to 6 shifts Monday to Sunday, 5.45pm - midnight. Training to be completed during day shift; flexi hours are available for the time of your training! Training will be paid @ £13.53ph.

Pay Rate: £14.08 per hour (hours up to 10pm) to £14.65 per hour (hours from 10pm).

Due to continued business growth, gap personnel are recruiting for Machine Operators to join the team at Yeo Valley in Newton Abbot. These roles are available with immediate starts.

As a Machine Operator, you will be helping with the end-of-day running of the production line, making sure products are made safely, correctly, and on time.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Working on the line and helping with food production
  • Packing products correctly and safely
  • Checking that everything is running as it should
  • Keeping your area clean and organised
  • Letting the team know if there are any issues
  • Operating machinery once trained

What we are looking for:

  • Experienced in Manufacturing, ideally Food Manufacturing
  • Able to operate machinery
  • Able to work well in a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Happy to do manual work
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous food production experience is helpful, but not essential
  • Candidates must be flexible and open-minded.

Full training will be provided by Yeo Valley, with opportunities for ongoing support and development.
