gap personnel Bristol are operating as an employment business and currently looking to recruit a Logistics Operative for a continuously growing business based in Weston‑S‑Super‑Mare, BS24. As a Logistics Operative, you will join a team where you will become a key and valued member providing support to key operations.
Job duties:
- Working across a range of logistics operations in a busy production environment.
- Working in Goods Inwards, Despatch, Lineside Stores, Core Control and Goods Inwards Inspection.
- Loading, unloading, packing, building packaging, inventory management, stock checking.
- Maintaining stock on a computer‑based ERP system.
- Continuous improvement of existing processes and facilities.
Candidate:
- Previous stores experience essential, experience of production logistics desirable.
- Proficiency and experience of ERP inventory software system.
- Experience of stock control and Stocktakes/PI counts and inventory management.
- Manual clean driving licence is essential and forklift licence is highly desirable.
- A desire to improve things and to provide a good service to internal colleagues & external customers.
- A willingness to take ownership for their own areas of responsibility.
- Proactive and logical in their approach.
- Must act with integrity and remain professional at all times.
- Open minded enough to accept new ideas and explore the benefits, rather than resist change.
