Location: Weston‑S‑Super‑Mare

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7.30am-4.15pm & Friday 7.30am-4.00pm

Hourly Rate: up to £15.50 per hour DOE

Role Type: Temporary to permanent

Work Schedule: Alternating 41 / 33 hour weeks, 5 days one week, 4 days the next (9‑day fortnight), Every other Friday off

gap personnel Bristol are operating as an employment business and currently looking to recruit a Logistics Operative for a continuously growing business based in Weston‑S‑Super‑Mare, BS24. As a Logistics Operative, you will join a team where you will become a key and valued member providing support to key operations.

Job duties:

  • Working across a range of logistics operations in a busy production environment.
  • Working in Goods Inwards, Despatch, Lineside Stores, Core Control and Goods Inwards Inspection.
  • Loading, unloading, packing, building packaging, inventory management, stock checking.
  • Maintaining stock on a computer‑based ERP system.
  • Continuous improvement of existing processes and facilities.

Candidate:

  • Previous stores experience essential, experience of production logistics desirable.
  • Proficiency and experience of ERP inventory software system.
  • Experience of stock control and Stocktakes/PI counts and inventory management.
  • Manual clean driving licence is essential and forklift licence is highly desirable.
  • A desire to improve things and to provide a good service to internal colleagues & external customers.
  • A willingness to take ownership for their own areas of responsibility.
  • Proactive and logical in their approach.
  • Must act with integrity and remain professional at all times.
  • Open minded enough to accept new ideas and explore the benefits, rather than resist change.
