Are you a skilled and confident operator who runs complex machinery? gap personnel is recruiting a level 3 Operative, who will carry out key food safety and quality checks, and support safe, efficient production across different areas whilst keeping standards high, reducing downtime, and ensuring all products are safe, accurate, and meet requirements.
Responsibilities
- Complete all essential food safety checks, including correct labels, product safety, and contamination prevention.
- Carry out daily Critical Control Point (CCP) checks.
- Set up, operate, and fix minor issues on production machines.
- Perform changeovers, adjustments, and basic fault-finding to keep lines running smoothly.
- Check product weight, labels, packaging, and overall quality.
- Accurately record production data, yields, and traceability information.
- Change labels and packaging film, complete printing tasks, and prepare materials.
- Help with portioning, decanting, and safe product handling.
- Work across different areas such as production lines, goods in, and dispatch as needed.
- Communicate clearly to help maintain safe and efficient operations.
Skills & Experience
- Confident using and understanding production machinery.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety.
- Solid knowledge of food safety and quality standards.
- Can work independently and assist team members when required.
