We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader for our client in Leeds. This is a temp to perm role and an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing team with an excellent employer.
Pay: £13.94 per hour (£29,000 per year)
Location: Leeds
Role Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday (9am-5pm)
About the role
We’re looking for a hands-on Depot Operations Lead to run day-to-day depot operations and lead a high-performing workshop team. You’ll be responsible for fleet readiness, staff performance, safety, and operational standards – making sure the depot runs efficiently and supports excellent service delivery in the field. Working closely with senior operations and on-street teams, you’ll also play a key role in process improvement, performance reporting, and maintaining a strong working relationship with the client.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead and manage depot and workshop teams, including mechanics and support staff
- Ensure high productivity, quality repairs, and fleet readiness
- Manage rotas, stock, tools, and depot assets
- Own health & safety compliance, toolbox talks, and safety checks
- Track performance KPIs and drive continuous improvement
- Support client reporting and contribute to monthly performance reviews
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop team members
- Act as the escalation point for depot-based issues
