You will be responsible for ensuring that the machinery and factory areas are cleaned to a high standard in line with the cleaning schedule. You will be part of the team, but also act as a team leader to ensure that all tasks are completed, signed off and that any issues are communicated and followed up with the technical department. You will be responsible for promoting food safety and good manufacturing practices.
Main Duties as a Hygiene Team Leader:
- To carry out scheduled hygiene work and complete the relevant records.
- To have a full understanding of the cleaning systems, schedules, and procedures throughout the factory.
- Work with the technical team to ensure all activities comply with GMP and quality procedures.
- To carry out instructions as given by management.
- Be familiar with the safe preparation and handling of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants used in conjunction with hygiene duties.
- To immediately report all potential hygiene and health & safety hazards and/or unsafe working practices to the management.
- Organizing daily ATP and signing off equipment back to production.
- Train staff to company and BRC standards.
- Establish appropriate training material and conduct training for hygiene topics, eg SOP’s.
- Leading and monitoring hygiene department making sure good practices and hygiene standards are followed.
- Organize stock control.
- Any other duties that may reasonably regarded within the nature of the duties and responsibilities.
Working hours: Monday – Friday 10pm-5.30am, paid for 35 hours a week.
Hourly Pay Rates: Nights £15.25 p/h.
Experience: Previous experience within a hygiene role within a food manufacturing business.
Qualification: Minimum Lev 2 Food Safety.
Inductions will be held on site in line with their health and safety policies.
