Gap Personnel, operating as an employment business, are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Quality Assurance candidate for a company based in Knowsley Business Park area. The position is a maternity cover but can be a temp to perm contract for suitable candidates.
Hours of Work: Shift Rotation 5am – 1pm, 7am – 3pm, 11am – 7pm, 3pm – 11pm
Salary: £14.61 per hour
Purpose of the Role: To undertake specific QA and operational duties in line with safe operating procedures and company policies. To adhere to site internal quality policies and procedures to ensure a perfect quality product is manufactured and presented.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To operate/work safely and efficiently at all times
- To ensure that all relevant QA/QC documentation is completed as and when required
- To perform raw materials checks
- Calibration – probes/scales etc.
- Finished product inspection
- Participation in audits
- Metal detection
- Lab samples & swabs
- Traceability
- Glass/plastic audits
- Product/pack integrity
- Compliance with all operational CCP’s
- Quality issues to be communicated to QA Supervisor/Technical Manager/Production Manager immediately
- To maintain correct temperature controls throughout the process
- Support the Production Manager/QC’s in the review of line control sheets ensuring scores are rectified
- Corrective action identified and implemented
- Follow standard operating procedures for completion of tasks
- Maintain a clean as you go area and demonstrate good manufacturing practices
- Support the need for change and actively get involved in continually looking for ways to improve line performance
- Take part in continuous improvement activities and contribute suggestions to improve line performance
- Comply with all company procedures and codes of practice to ensure a safe and hygienic workplace
- Complete regular/routine tasks without being asked
- Focus on attention to details and maintaining high standards
- Any other duties assigned to you
Knowledge and Experience: Previous experience in a similar role in food production would be beneficial but full training will be given.
