Our client based in the Wrexham area is currently recruiting a Junior Transport Coordinator on a permanent basis. The successful applicant will work in a small team, reporting to the Transport Manager in the UK. This role will require a candidate with strong communication skills both via email and telephone. The role will include management of transport orders and warehouse schedules, co-ordinating deliveries and updating the internal systems to align data.
Performance Objectives
- Book Transport for orders with external partners.
- Co-ordinate collections and deliveries with external suppliers.
- Co-ordinate delivery information and align with internal systems.
- Share daily/weekly Schedule updates to Warehouses and actively monitor any changes, keeping all parties informed.
- Upload documents relating to Transport orders into system.
Person Specification
- Strong Communication.
- Organisational skills.
- Transport experience preferred.
- Some understanding of logistics software preferred.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Geographical knowledge of Europe and UK.
- Sage X3 / Excel Intermediate.
