We are looking for an ambitious and driven Business Development professional to grow our presence across the NHS, private hospitals, care homes, pharmacies, and the wider private healthcare sector. This is a national, revenue-generating role focused on winning new sales and growing internal and existing accounts, building strong customer relationships, and expanding our footprint across the UK. You will engage daily with key decision-makers, both remotely and face to face, and play a key role in driving growth.
The Role
- Identify and convert new sales opportunities across healthcare and private sector organisations
- Grow and develop internal and existing accounts by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Build a strong understanding of products, customer needs, and competitor solutions
- Engage with clinical and non-clinical decision makers to promote revenue-generating products
- Create and execute effective sales plans to convert opportunities and overcome objections
- Build long-term relationships through regular contact, meetings, and follow-ups
- Actively network to uncover and develop new leads
- Follow up both qualified and unqualified marketing leads and progress them through the sales pipeline
- Manage sales opportunities using company databases and CRM systems
- Prepare persuasive sales presentations and proposals
Customer & Account Development
- Act as the main point of contact for new installations, upgrades, onboarding, and training
- Support customers with product familiarisation and ongoing training sessions
- Identify and develop departmental “champions” to drive adoption and account growth
- Work with internal teams to provide customers with data on sustainability and efficiency gains where available
General Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and opportunity records
- Provide regular feedback on market intelligence, competitor activity, and new opportunities
- Represent the company professionally and in line with all policies and procedures
- Attend training, meetings, and appraisals as required
- Support wider business activities during peak periods or staff absence
- Be flexible to work out of hours or at alternative locations when business needs require
What We’re Looking For
- Essential: Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales or account management, ideally within the NHS or medical-related organisations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Competent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office, with strong Excel proficiency
- Full, clean UK driving licence (no more than 6 points)
- Desirable: Experience selling into healthcare or clinical environments
- Understanding of healthcare procurement and decision-making processes
