About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our council team. You will play a key role in maintaining and improving the appearance of public spaces, parks, and green areas for the benefit of our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out grounds maintenance tasks including grass cutting, hedge trimming, planting, and general upkeep of outdoor spaces.
• Operate and maintain horticultural machinery and tools safely.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance and gridding.

Essential Requirements

• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic knowledge of grounds maintenance techniques and equipment.

Desirable

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance or horticulture.
• Relevant qualifications in horticulture or landscaping.
