About the role

As a Patient‑Facing Porter, you will be a key part of the hospital experience. You will be responsible for safely transporting patients between wards, departments and diagnostic areas, often being one of the first friendly faces they meet. This role involves regular interaction with patients, offering reassurance, conversation, and a calm presence during what can be a stressful time.

Your duties will include:

  • Safely transporting patients in beds, wheelchairs, and trolleys
  • Communicating clearly and compassionately with patients, staff, and visitors
  • Supporting clinical teams by delivering equipment, specimens, and supplies
  • Ensuring safe movement around the hospital, following infection control procedures
  • Maintaining high standards of dignity, respect, and patient confidentiality

What we’re looking for
