Gap Personnel are seeking a skilled and experienced TIG Welder to join a busy manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing high-quality components, primarily working with aluminium, with additional TIG welding on stainless steel and mild steel as required. Precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Aluminium TIG Welding: Produce strong, clean, and visually appealing welds on aluminium components.
- Steel & Stainless Steel Welding: Carry out TIG welding on steel and stainless steel as required.
- Reading Drawings: Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to meet welding specifications.
- Material Preparation: Clean, cut, and accurately position materials prior to welding.
- Equipment Setup: Set up, operate, and maintain TIG welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed welds to ensure accuracy, strength, and quality standards are met.
- Health & Safety: Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Productivity: Work efficiently to meet production targets while maintaining high standards.
- Proven experience as a TIG Welder working with aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel.
- Strong proficiency in TIG welding, particularly aluminium.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Knowledge of aluminium alloys and welding requirements.
- Experience with welding equipment operation and maintenance.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Commute/Relocation: Must be able to reliably commute to Gloucester or relocate prior to starting.
