About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and experienced Forklift Driver to join their production environment in Southend-on-Sea. This is a mixed role involving forklift operation, loading and unloading lorries, and manual handling duties within a busy production facility. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering the right candidate a chance to secure a long-term position.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a forklift safely and efficiently within the production environment
- Loading and unloading lorries in a timely and efficient manner
- Supporting the production floor with the movement of goods and materials
- Carrying out manual handling tasks as required
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Working flexible shifts, including late shifts up to 10–11pm
Requirements
- Previous forklift experience essential (in-house licence accepted)
- Experience with loading and unloading lorries preferred
- Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment preferred
- Comfortable with manual handling duties
- Flexible and available for late shifts up to 10–11pm
