We are excited to be recruiting for a Cost Accountant for a company in Fleetwood. It is a huge company in the local community with a great heritage, this role offers a great package alongside the opportunity to train and progress in a thriving team. This role is an easy commute for people travelling from Cleveleys, Bispham, Blackpool, Layton, Hambleton and South Shore.
Salary: £36,000
Hours: 9am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 9am-2pm Fridays

Roles and responsibilities:
- Establishing standard costs of services and products
- Analyse material and labour usage
- Recommend methods and strategies for cutting costs
- Assess rates of labour, depreciation, and overheads
- Ownership of inventory costing and associated margin reporting
- Cost centre – forecasts and budgets
- Product costing
- Preparing Accruals and Prepayments
- Maintain records and support annual auditing process
Core competencies:
- Part Qualified/currently studying CIMA/ACCA
- Experience of manufacturing environment
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Good time management, planning and organisational skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
