Salary: £18.85 per hour PAYE

Are you passionate about supporting people, shaping positive workplace culture, and delivering high-quality HR services? This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a supportive and people-focused organisation, helping ensure employees are Happy, Healthy, and Here.

We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and collaborative HR Advisor to provide trusted HR guidance to Housing managers and contribute to wider organisational initiatives. If you enjoy building strong relationships, influencing positive change, and working across varied HR projects, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

  • Advise and support managers on a wide range of HR matters
  • Assist with recruitment — drafting job descriptions, adverts, liaising with agencies, and joining interview panels
  • Support sickness absence management, employee relations cases, and investigations
  • Contribute to restructures, organisational change, and workforce planning
  • Help identify training and development needs in collaboration with L&D colleagues
  • Lead and support HR projects — including wellbeing initiatives and job evaluation
  • Provide accurate and timely people data, reporting, and annual employee checks
  • Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring best practice and legal compliance
  • Chair Job Evaluation panels
  • Oversee HR processes related to apprentices, volunteers, screening, parental leave, and onboarding
  • Drive continuous improvement across recruitment and HR administration
  • Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, safeguarding and safe working practices
  • Support risk management, health and safety, and compliance responsibilities

This role is varied, meaningful, and requires professionalism, discretion, and strong interpersonal skills.

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous HR experience, ideally advising managers
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to analyse people data and produce reports
  • Confidence working independently and collaboratively across teams
  • A proactive, solution‑focused and resilient mindset
  • Commitment to employee wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion

CIPD membership or progress toward accreditation would be beneficial, but not essential.

Why Join Us?

  • A culture that prioritises wellbeing and professional growth
  • Supportive colleagues and collaborative working environments
  • Opportunities to lead and influence HR improvements
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • A role that directly enhances employee experience and organisational success
