gap personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join a busy and fast-paced fabrication environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual with a background in metalwork and engineering to work on high-quality products within a precision-driven setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut, bend, and form raw sheet metal materials into precise shapes and sizes for a range of products and structural components.
- Read and accurately interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure correct build requirements.
- Operate and maintain workshop equipment including guillotines and brake press machinery.
- Inspect finished work to ensure it meets required quality standards and make adjustments where necessary.
- Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to specification.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Confident using a range of sheet metal tools and machinery.
- Strong focus on accuracy, precision, and quality workmanship.
- Ability to identify issues and carry out repairs or modifications to existing metalwork.
- Able to carry out manual, physically demanding tasks including lifting materials and standing for extended periods.
- Vocational training or an apprenticeship in metal fabrication is preferred.
Hours of Work & Pay:
Monday to Friday, 0800am – 1630pm, £13.25ph.
