Role Overview
Our client is a well-established printing company looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Printer Technician to join their busy production team. This is a hands-on role supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of our print department, working primarily with Roland Printers. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring high-quality output, efficient workflows, and well-maintained equipment. This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a printing or large-format production environment who takes pride in quality, organisation, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up print jobs by loading files accurately onto printers
- Loading and unloading materials and finished products from Roland printers
- Carrying out daily printer maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance
- Monitoring print quality and carrying out quality control checks
- Packing finished products ready for despatch
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised print area
- Identifying and reporting any machine faults, print issues, or material concerns
- Working closely with production and office teams to meet deadlines
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience working in a printing or production environment (large format or digital printing preferred)
- Familiarity with Roland printers or similar equipment (desirable)
- Strong IT skills, with confidence in loading and managing print files
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and machine care
- Good communication skills, able to work collaboratively with both shop floor and office-based teams
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently when required
