An established signage company specialising in custom signage is seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to support ongoing fabrication projects. The role involves working primarily with aluminium and steel to produce high-quality structural and decorative components for commercial signage.
This position would suit a reliable, skilled welder who can work independently, maintain high standards of workmanship, and meet project deadlines.
Key Duties & Responsibilities- MIG and TIG welding of aluminium and steel components
- Fabricating frames, brackets, supports and structural elements for signage
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and job specifications
- Measuring, cutting and preparing materials prior to welding
- Grinding, finishing and dressing welds to a high standard
- Assembling fabricated parts ready for installation or finishing
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure strength, accuracy and finish
- Working safely and following all relevant health & safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Collaborating with other trades including fabricators, fitters and installers
- Meeting production deadlines while maintaining workmanship standards
- Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding
- Strong experience working with aluminium and steel
- Ability to work from drawings with minimal supervision
- Good understanding of fabrication processes
- High attention to detail and pride in finished work
- Ability to work efficiently under time constraints
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ideally have own welding equipment and tools suitable for MIG and TIG welding
