An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Assistant to join a dynamic Supply Chain team within a global manufacturing business operating across the OEM, automotive, motorcycle, motorsport, defence, and specialist industrial sectors. This role is ideal for an organised and proactive individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about logistics, supply chain operations, and customer service.
The successful candidate will support the timely delivery of imported and exported materials to manufacturing operations, ensuring all customs and shipping documentation is completed accurately and efficiently. The role also involves coordinating transport activities, supporting subcontract supply chain operations, and helping maintain excellent delivery performance for customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with customer shipments for both scheduled and urgent requirements
- Progress chase materials and deliveries to meet critical deadlines
- Support management of transport costs across import, export, and internal logistics
- Coordinate movement of goods to subcontract partners
- Provide administrative support for day-to-day supply chain operations
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure customer expectations are achieved
- Assist with monitoring and progressing subcontract supply chain activities
- Support the wider Supply Chain team with cross-functional cover when required
- Utilise logistics and ERP systems to support efficient operational processes
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in a similar logistics or supply chain role
- Automotive or manufacturing sector experience desirable but not essential
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience using logistics or ERP software preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities
- Self-motivated, focused, and able to use initiative effectively
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Positive and professional attitude

Hours & Pay: Monday to Friday, 0830am – 1700pm, £30,000 PA
