HR Advisor in Exeter

HR Advisor – Manufacturing Hybrid working | Occasional travel People are at the heart of a successful manufacturing business. Behind every well-run operation are managers who know how to support their teams and employees who have the training and opportunities to grow. We’re looking for a people-focused HR Advisor to join a close-knit HR team of three. This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll build relationships across the business, support managers with everyday HR matters and help ensure training and personal development plans turn into action. What you’ll be doing Acting as a trusted first point of contact for managers and employees. Giving clear, practical advice on HR policies, employee matters and employment legislation. Working with managers to identify training needs and follow through on agreed development actions. Encouraging meaningful conversations about performance, progression and individual goals. Supporting the full employee journey, from recruitment and onboarding through to exit. Keeping employee information accurate and working with other teams to ensure pay and benefits are administered correctly. Supporting HR projects that improve the experience of people across the business. What we’re looking for You’ll have experience in a busy HR role and enjoy being visible and approachable. You’ll be organised enough to manage the detail, confident enough to advise managers, and genuinely interested in helping people develop. You’ll need CIPD Level 3 and be working towards Level 5, alongside a sound understanding of employment law, HR policies and GDPR. Experience supporting training, development or HR projects would be particularly valuable.
