gap personnel Gloucester are recruiting for 1 Warehouse Operative – Reach Truck Operative for a temp to perm contract for a growing food import business supplying both food ingredients to the food manufacturing industry and finished products to the food service sector. The Client handles a wide range of food products and is expanding their operations as they move into a new, larger warehouse in Evesham.

We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Warehouse Operative who must have experience and a valid Reach Truck licence to join their warehouse team. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role and would suit someone who enjoys an active working environment and is flexible as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Emptying handball containers safely and efficiently
  • Picking customer orders, including both full pallet and mixed pallet orders
  • Scanning inventory with RF equipment
  • Dispatching customer orders accurately and on time
  • Moving stock within the warehouse and maintaining stock rotation
  • Ensuring health & safety and food hygiene standards are always followed
  • Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment

About You:

  • Reach truck FLT licenses
  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks throughout the day as you will be asked on occasion to come off from the truck and perform manual pick
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
  • Good attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Willing to be flexible with working hours as shift patterns will be determined by business demand following our move to the new site
