Goods In / Dispatch Supervisor on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in Newton Abbot.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse or logistics professional looking to join a growing company that designs and manufactures high-quality specialist products, where quality, organisation and customer service are at the heart of everything they do.
The Role
As the Goods In / Dispatch Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Goods in and Dispatch departments, ensuring stock is received, stored, and despatched accurately, safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the Goods in and Dispatch teams.
- Coordinate inbound deliveries and outbound shipments.
- Ensure all goods are checked, booked in, and stored correctly.
- Prepare and oversee customer orders for dispatch.
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory control.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures.
- Liaise with production, purchasing and customer service departments.
- Drive continuous improvements within warehouse operations.
- Support and motivate the team to achieve daily targets.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a Goods In, Dispatch or Warehouse Supervisory role.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good IT skills and experience using stock management systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
