Day Cleaner – £12.21/hour

Location: Clitheroe
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Contract Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

Gap Personnel is recruiting for Day Cleaners on behalf of our client in Clitheroe, a reputable food manufacturing company. You’ll be part of the Hygiene Department, ensuring the highest cleanliness standards are maintained across production and non-production areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning Duties:

  • Clean all floor surfaces, corridors, changing rooms, toilets, canteens, and offices

  • Perform general wet and dry cleaning of site amenities (e.g. toilets, lairage, security and yard offices, canteen)

  • Provide clean PPE (gloves, aprons, overalls) to production teams

  • Replenish hygiene stations (soap, sanitiser, towels, bin bags, etc.)

  • Empty and re-bag waste bins as needed

  • Ensure waste is correctly segregated (general, plastic, cardboard, organic)

Laundry Duties:

  • Load/unload washing machines and dryers

  • Fold and prepare PPE for use

  • Refill laundry chemicals as required

Hygiene Records:

  • Complete cleaning schedules, checklists, and diaries accurately

Health & Safety:

  • Always wear correct PPE and ensure others do the same

  • Follow all Health & Safety and hygiene procedures without compromise

Environmental:

  • Contribute to energy, water, and waste reduction across the site

Other Duties:

  • Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Day Cleaning Supervisor

  • Cleaning experience is helpful but not essential – full training provided
