Location: Community Hospital
Hours: 15 - 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Temporary Ongoing
Pay Rate: £12.71 - £23.26 per hour (enhanced rates for evenings, weekends and bank holidays where applicable)

About the Role
We are seeking reliable and compassionate Porters to join a friendly team within a small Community Hospital. This is a vital frontline role supporting patient care and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of hospital services.
Working as part of the Facilities Team, you will provide a professional portering service across the hospital, assisting with the safe movement of patients, equipment, supplies and clinical items.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients between wards, departments and treatment areas.
- Move medical equipment, furniture and supplies throughout the hospital.
- Deliver and collect clinical and non-clinical items as required.
- Assist hospital staff with setting up rooms and equipment.
- Respond promptly to porter requests across the site.
- Support the transfer of specimens, medical records and pharmacy items.
- Ensure wheelchairs, trolleys and other equipment are clean and available for use.
- Follow all health and safety, infection prevention and manual handling procedures.
- Provide a courteous and professional service to patients, visitors and staff.
- Support emergency and ad hoc requests as directed by supervisors.

- Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
- Previous porter, healthcare, facilities or customer-facing experience is desirable but not essential.
Working Pattern
- 15 to 37.5 hours per week available.
- Rotational shifts.
- Some weekend working required.
- Additional hours may be available to cover annual leave and service demands.
