About the Opportunity

We are working in partnership with a respected training provider to recruit a Trainee Assessor in Health & Social Care. The Role

As a Trainee Assessor, you will support apprenticeship learners throughout their programme, helping them develop the knowledge and competencies required to achieve their Health & Social Care qualifications. You will receive support and guidance as you develop your assessing skills, while working closely with learners and employers to ensure successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, knowledge and competency-based assessment support
  • Manage a caseload of learners, including workplace visits across a regional area
  • Support learners through regular interaction, planning, and feedback
  • Conduct learner progress reviews and set clear, measurable targets
  • Develop and maintain Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
  • Ensure learner progress is accurately recorded and tracked
  • Support timely achievement of learner outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with internal quality assurance processes
  • Plan and manage learner journeys effectively from start to completion

Requirements

Essential:

  • Occupational experience within Health & Social Care
  • Level 2 and 3 NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care (Adults)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Willingness to complete a DBS check and relevant registration

Desirable:

  • Previous training or assessing experience
  • Recognised teaching or assessing qualification (e.g. TAQA, CAVA, A1 or equivalent)
  • Welsh language skills
