An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and engaging Essential Skills Tutor to support learners on a government-funded training programme. In this role, you will deliver high-quality training in literacy, numeracy, and digital skills, helping young people develop the confidence and qualifications needed to progress into employment or further education. You will work closely with learners to plan, deliver, and assess their individual learning journey, ensuring they achieve their Essential Skills qualifications in a supportive and structured environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging group workshops and one-to-one sessions
- Support learners in achieving Essential Skills qualifications
- Plan and tailor learning sessions to meet individual needs
- Monitor learner progress and provide feedback
- Prepare, conduct, and invigilate assessments
- Motivate and support learners to reach their full potential
About You
- Experience working with young people OR a strong passion for supporting them
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Engaging and motivational delivery style
- Willingness to work towards a teaching/assessing qualification (e.g. CAVA)
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check and relevant registration
