We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Dispatch Team Operatives / Counterbalance FLT Drivers to join a fast‑paced warehouse and distribution environment. The Role
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, and store stock.
- Loading and unloading vehicles, trailers, and containers.
- Transporting products and materials between warehouse locations and dispatch areas.
- Conducting daily FLT safety checks and reporting any defects or maintenance issues.
- Picking, packing, decanting, loading, and unloading goods.
- Ensuring all orders are processed accurately and dispatched on time and in full.
- Following all site procedures, training, and operational guidelines.
- Using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to meet performance targets.
- Maintaining accurate stock locations and inventory records.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment using a 'Clean As You Go' approach.
- Proactively identifying and reporting hazards, incidents, and near misses.
- Supporting audits and maintaining high site standards.
- Working flexibly across different areas of the dispatch and warehouse operation.

You will be working towards key operational KPIs, including:
- Pick efficiency and productivity rates.
- On‑time deliveries.
- Labour utilisation (effective and idle hours).

- Stock accuracy and inventory control.
About You
We're looking for candidates who:
- Hold a valid Counterbalance FLT licence/certificate (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT, NPORS or equivalent).
- Have previous Counterbalance FLT driving experience.
- Have previous warehouse or distribution experience (preferred).
- Are PC literate, ideally with WMS experience.
- Have good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Can work on their own initiative.
- Have strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Demonstrate a positive, flexible, and proactive approach.
- Take pride in their work and maintain high standards.
- Have basic food hygiene awareness (desirable).
- Are well organised, punctual, and professional in presentation.
