Pay Rate: £13 - £15.43

Job Type: Temporary ongoing

Shifts: Shifts will be issued weekly. Candidates need to be fully flexible for days, afternoons and nights. Shifts will start at 8am, 10.30am, 12pm or 5pm and they will be 10h shifts.

About the Role

We’re currently looking for a Despatch Operative to join our busy warehouse team in Cardiff. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring all customer orders are processed, handled, and dispatched accurately, safely, and on time. This position requires a hands‑on, flexible, and proactive individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a strong ‘Safety First’ approach, reporting hazards and promoting a Zero Harm culture.
  • Follow all site procedures and training to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Carry out various dispatch tasks such as picking, loading, unloading, and product control.
  • Work towards daily performance targets using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Take ownership of personal development and show a positive, can‑do attitude.
  • Keep work areas clean, organised, and audit‑ready at all times.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth warehouse operations and on‑time delivery.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a warehousing or distribution environment is essential.
  • Valid FLT licences (Forklift Truck) are desirable but not essential.
  • Confident in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic PC software.
  • Strong numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
  • A reliable team player with excellent timekeeping and organisational abilities.
  • Flexible, conscientious, and committed to delivering high‑quality service to customers.
