Intake Operative – Caerphilly Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday (Days & Afternoons) We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Intake Operative to join a busy food manufacturing operation. This is a key position within the business, responsible for handling high-value raw materials and ensuring products are received, tested, processed, and recorded accurately while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and food safety. This role operates on a Monday to Friday basis, however flexibility is essential as shift times will vary between days and afternoons depending on cream delivery schedules. Key Responsibilities Safely receive cream deliveries from tankers and collate all tanker receipts. Carry out food testing prior to offloading. Pasteurise cream in line with company training and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Minimise product waste and maximise efficiency at all times. Wash tankers and silos before and after use, following strict cleaning procedures. Monitor temperature charts and ensure all monitoring equipment is functioning correctly. Adhere to all Critical Control Points (CCPs) and food safety standards. Accurately complete and maintain all records and documentation. Report any issues, faults, or concerns to senior personnel promptly. Participate in training as required. Support other areas of the factory when needed. Provide holiday and sickness cover for the opposite shift where necessary. What We're Looking For Previous experience within a food production, or processing environment is desirable. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards. Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records. Good understanding of health, safety, and hygiene practices. Flexible approach to working hours. Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently
