We are currently recruiting for Manufacturing Operatives to join a busy production environment in the Burnley area. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced manufacturing setting, offering a rotating shift pattern and competitive pay rates.
Shift Pattern & Pay:
- Rotating Shifts:
- 6:00am – 16:00pm
- 16:00pm – 2:00am
- Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing manual handling tasks and ensuring that profiles are shrink-wrapped in line with quality standards, required quantities, and production timescales, while following company procedures. This role involves heavy lifting, so candidates must be physically fit. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating the shrink-wrapping machine, including shrink wrapping, hand bagging, and re-taping profiles
- Ensuring correct product identification labels are applied
- Packaging products to meet customer standards
- Working effectively as part of a team while also using your own initiative
- Carrying out material handling tasks (both manual and mechanical) safely and efficiently
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with company standards
- Undertaking general housekeeping duties within the department
Candidate Requirements
- Good attendance and timekeeping
- Reliable and hardworking
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively in English
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit due to the nature of the role (heavy lifting involved)
