Our Manufacturing client is seeking a proactive and dependable Warehouse Operative to join their dedicated team. This role is key to ensuring the smooth and accurate handling of goods through all areas of our warehouse operations, from receiving stock to despatching orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately check in deliveries and report any discrepancies promptly
- Efficiently store and rotate stock, relocate materials, and maintain accurate inventory records
- Safely operate forklift trucks for loading and unloading shipments
- Pick and prepare customer orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Pack and dispatch goods within set deadlines
- Participate in regular stock takes and assist in inventory management
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment
- Follow instructions and standard operating procedures as directed
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid forklift licence
- High attention to detail
- Good awareness of Health & Safety practices
- Basic computer skills and ability to update stock systems
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Physically fit with the ability to perform manual handling tasks
- Full UK driving licence
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (experience with Progress Plus is a bonus)
