We are currently recruiting Machine Operators to join a well-established plastics manufacturing company in Blackburn. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term employment within a supportive and growing organisation.
Pay Rate: £12.69 per hour (subject to increase from April)
Hours: Continental Shift Pattern – 12-hour shifts (6:00am–6:00pm / 6:00pm–6:00am)
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (60 hours)
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday (24 hours)
Rotating: 2 weeks days / 2 weeks nights
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate blow and injection moulding machinery
- Carry out quality checks on finished products
- Record production data, including parts, rejects, and weights
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Ensure smooth handovers between shifts
Requirements:
- Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures
- Comfortable using PPE
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, with good attention to detail
