Gap Personnel are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client, who are a growing artisan bakery business, for a Bakery Assistant / Kitchen Staff Member to join their production team in Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced food production environment.
Working as part of the bakery team, you will be involved in the preparation, baking, decorating, and packing of high-quality products while maintaining exceptional food hygiene and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Assisting with the preparation and production of baked goods and confectionery products.
- Mixing, preparing, and baking products in line with recipes and specifications.
- Decorating and finishing products to company standards.
- Preparing ingredients and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Packing products ready for delivery and sale.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Following food safety, health and safety, and company procedures at all times.
- Cleaning equipment, utensils, and workstations.
- Supporting other areas of the bakery and production process as required.
- Have previous experience within a bakery, kitchen, food production, catering, or hospitality environment (preferred but not essential).
- Be reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in producing quality products.
- Be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Have a good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
- Be comfortable standing for long periods and undertaking manual handling duties.
- Be flexible to work weekends as part of a rota.
- Work well both independently and as part of a team.
