Location: Near Andover
gap technical are proud to be representing a manufacturing business in their search for an experienced Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to support operations at their site near Andover.
The Role
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the manufacturing process by responding to breakdowns, carrying out planned maintenance, and driving continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and effectively to equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime
- Carry out planned and preventative maintenance activities
- Fault-find efficiently using machine history, documentation, and diagnostics
- Take ownership of a nominated production area
- Identify, correct, and modify recurring machine faults
- Work closely with production teams to maintain strong working relationships
- Train operational staff in minor maintenance tasks and assist with major repairs
- Ensure all machinery is maintained to a high engineering standard
- Actively contribute to reducing downtime and improving engineering processes
About You
- Time-served engineering apprenticeship (preferred)
- Electrical bias with strong hands-on experience
- Proven experience with:
- 3 Phase Electrical Systems
- Motors, Drives, Safety Relays & PLCs
- FMCG machinery
