We are currently recruiting for an experienced Band 5 Plumber to join a busy NHS Estates & Facilities team in Abergavenny. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a vital healthcare environment, ensuring essential services are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across the hospital estate
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on water systems, pipework, and sanitary systems
  • Support with maintenance of heating and hot/cold water systems
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety and NHS compliance standards
  • Participate in a rotating shift pattern (12.5-hour days and nights)
  • Accurately complete job records and maintenance logs

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent qualification)
  • Previous experience in a commercial or healthcare setting (NHS experience desirable)
  • Strong understanding of water regulations and safe systems of work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work rotating day and night shifts
  • Valid DBS (or willingness to obtain)
