We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flat Bed Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining flat bed laser cutting machines to produce high-quality components in line with technical drawings and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate flat bed laser cutting machines (e.g., CNC laser cutters)
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, CAD files, and job specifications
  • Load and unload raw materials (sheet metal, stainless steel, aluminium, etc.)
  • Adjust machine settings to ensure precision cutting and optimal performance
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of equipment
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances
  • Monitor production output and report any issues or defects
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with health & safety regulations
  • Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating flat bed laser machines (e.g., Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada)
  • Strong understanding of CNC machinery and laser cutting processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical/engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with different metals and material properties
  • Good attention to detail and quality control

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
