Are you an experienced quality professional with an engineering background? Our client, a respected manufacturer in Southend, is seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join their team on a permanent basis.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee quality assurance throughout the production process, ensuring products meet both internal standards and customer expectations.
- Perform inspections and validations of components at various stages of manufacture.
- Prepare and complete First Article Inspection reports.
- Handle non-conformance issues for both suppliers and customers, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Work closely with colleagues to meet quality and output goals.
- Contribute to embedding quality practices within the manufacturing workflow.
- Serve as an authorised signatory for quality releases.
What We're Looking For:
- Solid engineering background with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Hands-on experience in the aerospace industry is highly desirable.
- Previous involvement in quality control or assurance roles.
- Recent experience with First Article Inspections and internal/external audits.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency with computers.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies, such as Laser Measuring Machine programming.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
