Our client based in Costessey is recruiting for 2 Production Technicians on a temporary to permanent basis. The client is expanding the workforce and looking for experienced candidates to join the team and have a supportive and inclusive environment.
Shifts: 0600-1800/1800-0600, 4 on/off rotating shift pattern
Pay: £14.00 per hour, rising to a starting salary of £33,000 or £15.11 per hour when going permanent with the client after 12 weeks of work.
Main Duties Include:
- Working with the production facility completing varied duties
- Working to health & safety standards, taking responsibility for all safe working practices
- Being responsible for production on shift including; raw materials, finished product, packing, palletisation & machine care
- Washing machinery parts and ensuring they are clean and damage free
- Ensuring all products are processed to specification
- Checking product dimensions and adjusting machinery where needed
- Checking consistency, quality of the product & making adjustments as needed
- Maintaining accurate production records
- Completing & recording cleaning during production changeovers
- Taking effective action in event of machinery breakdown
- Maintain & record all plant conditions in line with role
- Selecting correct packaging materials & pallets for product
- Carrying out rework and rebag operations as needed
- Supporting with spillages, press cleaning and general hygiene work
- Separating non-conforming products and reporting to manufacturing manager
- Checking and recording metal detector functions
- Being a flexible team member to any reasonable duties requested
The Successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or manufacturing environment
- Ability to work on own initiative, whilst being a good team player
- Good written & verbal communication skills
- Basic I.T skills as will be using Excel and Microsoft products
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to carry out physical work as needed in line with the role
