The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off - rotating shifts

2 Days: 7:00am - 7:00pm

2 Nights: 7:00pm - 7:00am

Breaks: 4 x 30-minute breaks per 12-hour shift

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for Bakery Operatives to join a busy and fast-paced production environment within the Morning Goods and Slicing departments at the Northwich site. Previous bakery production experience is desirable; however, candidates with experience within FMCG or fast-moving manufacturing environments will also be considered. Full training will be provided.

This role involves manual handling, operating within a production environment, and working as part of a team to meet production and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow daily production plans and work instructions
  • Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Ensure production deadlines and targets are achieved
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping (clean as you go)
  • Complete production paperwork accurately and report any issues or non-conformances
  • Maintain food safety, quality, and legal compliance standards
  • Adhere to all SOPs, procedures, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
  • Work safely and responsibly at all times
  • Maintain awareness of staff and machinery within the working area
  • Follow manual handling procedures correctly

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Previous experience within an FMCG or production/manufacturing environment
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexible and reliable approach to work
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn new processes
  • Comfortable working within a physically demanding role

Desirable:

  • Previous bakery or food production experience
  • Experience working within high-volume manufacturing environments
