Location: Birkenhead
Salary: £14.00 per hour + Pension Scheme
Job Type: Temp to Permanent
The Company: Our client specialises in the manufacturing of chipboard with plants across Europe.
About the Role: We are looking for a proactive and team-oriented Warehouse Operative to join during an exciting period of growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Fulfilment: Efficiently picking and packing orders ready for dispatch.
- Inventory Management: Conducting regular stock checks and actively re-stocking inventory.
- Vehicle Operations: Loading and unloading delivery trucks using both a 3-Tonne Counterbalance and a Reach forklift.
- Manual Handling: Safely moving goods and materials around the warehouse floor as required.
Future Opportunities & Task Expansion: As our operations grow in the new facility, your role may expand to include:
- Operating an 8-Tonne Counterbalance forklift (comprehensive training will be provided).
- Providing hands-on support to the kitchen furniture assembly line.
- Assisting with general facilities management and site upkeep tasks.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Required Licences: You must hold valid and current Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Licences.
- Team Player: A strong enthusiasm for teamwork and a collaborative approach to daily tasks.
- Health & Safety: A solid understanding of Health & Safety best practices within a warehouse environment is highly valued and advantageous.
Working Hours & Shifts:
- Weekly Hours: 40 to 44 hours per week.
- Weekday Shifts: Monday to Friday, operating within the 08:00 - 17:00 time band.
- Weekend Work: Saturdays from 09:00 - 13:00 (scheduled on a fair rota basis).
Holiday: 25 Days Annual Leave (+ Bank Holidays).
