Gap personnel are urgently searching for a customer facing Yard/Trade assistant for one of Gloucestershire's leading Independent Builders Merchant.
Job Duties:
- Ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction by exceeding customers' expectations
- Driving a FLT Counterbalance truck
- Loading and unloading
- Movement of stock both manually and by use of mechanical handling equipment
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness
- Complying with health & safety procedures at all times
- Reporting to the operations manager when necessary
- Working alongside the team to achieve daily tasks and duties
Ideal candidate will have:
- FLT Counterbalance experience; however, training will be given to the right candidate
- Enthusiastic work ethic with a willingness to improve and make a difference
- Good organisational skills and IT proficiency
- Ability to go the extra mile and be flexible with working hours when needed
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to follow & fully understand instructions and be able to clearly explain requirements to others
- Good verbal & written communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Previous experience for a builders merchant
- Good knowledge of warehouse/yard processes and procedures
- Experience in customer facing roles
- FLT Counterbalance operating
